Maduro vows not to ‘betray’ Venezuela by yielding to US desires of regime change in Caracas

The Latin American president, made the remarks in an exclusive interview with Russia's RT Spanish TV channel conducted on Monday and published on Tuesday, stressing that he would not be remembered as a leader who showed weakness and ignorance to his nation. “I do not care how I’m going to go down in history. I’m not going to be a traitor, a weak one, like a man who turned his back on his historic commitments to his people,” he said. Maduro’s comments come as oil-rich Venezuela plunged into an unprecedented political turmoil in the past couple of weeks, with the opposition, holding widespread anti-government protests, blaming him over an ailing economy, hyperinflation, power cuts, and shortages of basic items. Political crisis further deepened considerably in the South American country on January 23, when opposition figure Juan Guaido, a lawmaker who leads the defunct National Assembly, proclaimed himself the “interim president” of the country. Trump was quick in officially recognizing him as such, a move that infuriated Caracas. “I take advantage of every means of communication to ask the whole world to denounce and stop the madness of Donald Trump. Venezuela is never going to give in,” Maduro added, stressing that “a wave of conscience” globally would lead to a “repudiation” of the American president. Maduro also accused Trump of concealing his real motive of stealing Venezuela’s vast natural resources behind his regime-change posture, because the Latin American country does not “have weapons of mass destruction" and is not a "security threat" to the US. “What is Donald Trump’s ‘casus belli’ against Venezuela? The ‘casus belli’ is the oil of Venezuela, the riches of Venezuela, its gold, gas, iron, diamonds, other material riches,” he said. Maduro was sworn in for a second term on January 10, after an election win — gained last May — that faced an opposition boycott and allegations of vote-rigging, which the government has denied. The US, Canada, most Latin American, and many European countries have labeled Maduro’s May win as fraudulent. Guaido calls Maduro’s government as “illegitimate” over his disputed re-election victory, which purportedly left the presidency technically empty. The 35-year-old opposition figure then concludes that the constitution allows the head of National Assembly to be sworn in as the interim president. But the point is that Venezuela’s National Assembly is no longer recognized by the Venezuelan state, which has given legislative powers to another body, the Constituent Assembly, accused of being stacked with Maduro’s allies. Furthermore, the United Nations has recognized Maduro as the Venezuela’s legitimate leader in his second term in office. The White House, however, has called on other countries to follow suit in recognizing Guaido. It has further placed tough sanctions against Venezuela’s state-owned oil firm PDVSA and certified the authority of Guaido to control certain Venezuelan assets held by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York or any other US-insured banks. EU members Britain, Germany, France, and Spain had given an eight-day ultimatum to Caracas on January 26 to hold a new election or see Europe recognize Guaido. Caracas rejected the ultimatum, describing it as “childlike.” In a coordinated move on Monday, 17 countries of the 28-member European Union (EU), including France, Spain and Britain, officially announced their support for Guido. Italy, however, blocked an EU statement to recognize the self-declared president.  The decision came after Maduro rejected an EU ultimatum to hold an early presidential election, saying his country had done all its elections. “The only elections that are we are waiting for in Venezuela are parliamentary ones, which will happen in 2020, according to the Constitution,” further said Maduro during his RT interview. He also ruled out the possibility of “war” and direct “military intervention” in Venezuela from outside, but stressed this “does not mean that we do not prepare to defend our land” from any US military invasion. Trump’s “military aggression” must be rejected so that “peace prevails,” Maduro added. Canada and a number of right-leaning Latin American countries have also offered official recognition to Guaido. However, other countries, including Russia, China, and Iran, have expressed support for the elected government in Venezuela and condemned outside interference in the country.  Russia: Caracas-opposition dialogue only way out of crisis Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Tuesday said that the crisis in the South American country could only be solved by inviting the government authorities and the opposition to the negotiating table. “We continue to believe that the only way to exit this crisis is by sitting the government and opposition down at the negotiating table,” the Russian top diplomat said. “Otherwise it will simply be the same regime change that the West had done many times.” Turkey: EU seeking Maduro's ouster in defiance of 'democracy' Separately on Tuesday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, whose country has boosted economic and political ties with Venezuela, said that the EU was seeking to topple Maduro in open defiance of “democracy.” “On one side you will say 'democracy, democracy, democracy' and 'ballot box, ballot box, ballot box' and later you will dare to topple the government by violence and ruse,” the Turkish leader said during a speech he delivered to his ruling party legislators in parliament. Erdogan also called the foreign intervention into Venezuela’s domestic affairs an “international coup attempt to remove the country's elected leader from power.” In a veiled reference to Washington, the Turkish president said, “Is Venezuela one of your states?” “How dare you tell an elected person to leave and deliver the head of state to the one who did not even run in the elections," he added. Last month, Erdogan called Maduro to urge him to stand firm against “anti-democratic developments.” Despite the pressure exerted from the outside, Venezuela’s army has remained loyal to Maduro. Last month, he visited several military bases, where he lambasted the US for openly leading a coup against his administration by recognizing Guaido as “interim president.” The US has a long record of sponsoring “regime change” campaigns in Venezuela and other countries. In 2002, Chavez was ousted for two days in a US-backed coup that was ultimately defeated.

As some of you are aware, it’s a couple of months that YouTube has updated its policies by setting the algorithms so that it targets Islamic content and channels. They removed so many Islamic channels from their partner program while almost none of those channels violated any of their policies. With this they try to fade out the Islamic Dawah. Same thing happened to our channel too… It is the third time that our channel is being targeted by YouTube. First they have banned a video worldwide for couple of hours, then they deleted a video with the claim that it violated their terms and conditions while it wasn’t the case... and recently they have demonetized our channel (the only source that could cover a part of our production costs) again by claiming that our content is violating their terms and conditions while in reality we have never promote violence, or produce inappropriate content. It seems like they want to demotivate us so that we stop producing Islamic contents. But by the will of Allah (swt) that will never happen! Indeed production of a professional content needs huge costs and time. A lot of efforts (e.g. providing topics, doing research, providing footage, making narration, recording, graphics, editing & etc...) goes into making only one video. And we alone are not capable of covering the whole costs since we have no more financial source. Therefore we ask you to join and take part in our dawah mission and support our channel in order to continue with even more amazing contents and to help us educate people around the world about the beautiful religion (ISLAM) and make them come closer to Allah (swt). Currently we are unable to create any patreon page due to some problems. But you can donate to the below gofundme and paypal links: For those brothers/sisters who have problem with the donation campaigns for Islamic channels: Just know that Allah is enough for them, it’s about your responsibility for your religion. They didn’t make these channels to make money out of them, for sure if they were looking for money, they would choose some other ways which would make way more money for them. But they chose to serve for their religion. They all try their best and have their own way of presenting the message of Islam… they face huge problems while making those contents which help you and your children. Be with them Support them to spread the truth And be the cause for guidance of masses In Sha Allah In sha Allah your donation will be counted as (Sadaqah Jaariyah) and will get continues rewards since these contents will reach to millions of viewers by the passage of time. If you can't support us financially, please make Dua for us. Jazzak Allahu Khairan, Rational Believer
